Queen B brought the house down.
After many months of anticipation, Beyonc blazed the stage for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show – wowing with previously promised live singing, bewitching barely there getups, showstoppingly seductive dance moves, spectacular pyrotechnics and, as rumored, a rewarding Destiny’s Child reunion.
Following a Pepsi-sponsored countdown featuring the faces of her fans, swarms of screaming spectators stormed the field as the stage – which formed two opposite facing facades – lit up. As a glowing silhouette of the singer appeared over the audience, Beyonc slowly rose to the stage, lifted the mic to her mouth and belted out, “Baby it’s you! You’re the one I love,” the chorus to her hit “Love On Top,” off her latest album, 4.

11 Photos Showing skin in all-black leather getup, knee-high socks and sky-high heels, Beyonc seductively sashayed forward, breaking into “Crazy in Love” – her 2003 hit with now-husband Jay-Z– as she dropped down, slinking around on stage within a circle of dancers.
After stripping off bits of her outfit to reveal a low-plunging, lace-adorned bodice, the songstress shook her famous curves in front of a throng of scantily clad back-up dancers. As she transitioned into “End of Time,” a single off of 4, a projection popped up behind Beyonc , multiplying her figure as she swerved with the female dancers. Following just a single verse, Bey slid into “Baby Boy.”
Then Beyonc ditched solo songs, as Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams popped up on stage to join the singer for a long-rumored Destiny’s Child reunion. The trio kicked off with their 2001 chart-topper, “Bootylicious,” before breaking into “Miss Independent” – originally off the soundtrack for the 2000 big-screen adaptation of Charlie’s Angels. After side-stepping in unison as flames lit up the stage in front of them, the former girl group brought the tune to a close by striking the classic gun-toting Charlie’s Angels pose.
“Kelly and Michelle, can you come and sing this with me?” Beyonc said, as the trio dove into her girl-power anthem, “Single Ladies,” lining up for the gone-viral “Put a ring on it” dance move from Queen B’s 2008 video.

9 Photos Then Rowland and Williams waved goodbye, the dancers disappeared, the lights dimmed, and Beyonc slowed down with “Halo,” crouching down close to the crowd, serenaded the fans. As dark fell the arena, fireworks flew through the air and thousands of blue lights illuminated the stands, as spectators in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome waved two blue-light “finger flashlights,” provided for the performance, from their seats.
As the final note slipped from her lips, Beyonc dramatically fell backward onto the stage before standing to give her goodbye. “Thank ya’ll so much,” she said, blowing kisses. “Thank you for this moment. God bless ya’ll.”
But it wasn’t right back to the big game. On the heels of Beyonc ’s halftime spectacular – which generated over 120,000 tweets per minute – the entire arena slipped into darkness following a power outage, just minutes into the third quarter. Did Queen B’s bright star blow the power? Quite possibly, we say.
